Following the 2025 edition entitled ‘Resources, predicting tomorrow’, the teams at the Cité du Design and the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Saint-Étienne are already preparing for the 2027 edition!
Created in 1998 by students at the Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design, the Saint-Étienne International Design Biennial is a major cultural event, festive and open to all audiences, but also an unmissable professional gathering for designers, entrepreneurs and researchers from around the world. Built around exhibitions and strong design statements, it promotes contemporary creation accessible to all audiences in a festive atmosphere, punctuated by events, visits and workshops.
