The Perrache international bus station is moving to Gerland. The new facility will be in place for 5 to 7 years. It will serve national and international long-distance coaches operated by Flixbus, BlablaBus and Itabus.
At 52 Avenue Tony Garnier, in Lyon’s 7th arrondissement, on the former parking lot of the Gerland Sports Palace.
- Why did the station relocate ?
To allow construction work on the Perrache hub and improve conditions for long-distance travelers.
- Is the Gerland station permanent ?
It is a temporary station planned to remain in use for 5 to 7 years before the opening of a future permanent station.
- How do I get there by public transportation ?
Metro B – Stade de Gerland : about a 5 minutes walk
Tram T1 – ENS Lyon : less than a 10 minutes walk
Several TCL lines serve the area within a 10-minute walk
Bus lines 34, 60, and 64.
Bus PL3 which runs between 4 a.m and 6 a.m on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Is there parking for cars ?
Yes, several parking lots are accessible around the station and in the neighborhood.
- Can I get there by bike ?
Yes. The site directly connects to the Voie Lyonnaise 1, with bike racks available for parking.
